This gallery is devoted to the pictures of different animals that I upload for various blog posts.
This picture of a baby African elephant (Loxodonta africana) I got in Kruger National Park in South Africa. We got lucky enough to see small groups of elephants several times throughout the day!
This is a sea turtle that I saw on our crossing of the Indian Ocean, between India and Mauritius. I believe this turtle to be an olive ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea), based on the asymmetry of the costal scutes on the animals back.
A trio of African penguins (Spheniscus demersus) at Simon’s Town near Cape Town, South Africa.
A pair of what I believe to be long-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus capensis), two days away from Cape Town, South Africa.

A red-footed booby (Sula sula) in pursuit of a flying fish (family Exocoetidae) in the Pacific Ocean a day out from Hawaii between Hawaii and Japan as viewed from the deck of the MV World Odyssey on Semester at Sea.
A brown booby (Sula leucogaster) soars overhead in the Pacific Ocean between Mexico and Hawaii as viewed from the deck of the MV World Odyssey on Semester at Sea.
